Innovative Ideas in the Field of Technology
Innovative ideas in the field of technology have simplified the work and helped our rapid development. These ideas contribute to the creation of innovative technologies over time. In order to create this innovative idea, it is necessary to have the knowledge, which is fundamental in this process.
Thus we get the scheme: knowledge, idea, technology.To date, innovative technologies are traditionally divided into two segments: information technologies (technologies of automated information processing) and communication technologies (technologies for storage and transmission of information). For example, with the help of communication technologies, people can receive and transmit various contents, being in different corners of our world. International relations, including education, business negotiations and much more are now possible faster and more efficiently. If we recall the communication innovations in the field of education, first of all, it should be emphasized that people can enter higher education institutions and study remotely regardless of their location. Furthermore, every qualified pedagogue teaches something new and useful. Communication with representatives of other countries contributes to our self-development. All this eventually promotes the creation of qualified unique staff.Information technologies allow:
- To automate certain labour-intensive operations;
- Automate and optimize production planning;
- Optimize individual business processes (for example, customer relations, asset management, document management, management decision-making), taking into account the specifics of various branches of economic activity. Information technology is used for large data processing systems, computing on a personal computer, in science and education, in management, computer-aided design and the creation of systems with artificial intelligence. Information technologies are the modern technological systems of immense strategic importance (political, defence, economic, social and cultural), which led to the formation of a new concept of the world order – “who owns the information, he owns the world.”The spread of information and communication technologies play an important role in structural changes in all the areas of our life. For someone, it will be difficult to learn these technologies. Workers who will not be able to study will have to give way to the younger generation. Thus we are faced with a problem because, in order to use innovations in technologies and develop it, it is necessary to have a qualified youth. First and foremost there is the question of education. Anyway, only education can create a developed generation that will continue to strive for new knowledge and will meet the requirements of innovative technologies. In addition, I am convinced that innovative ideas in technologies have created a completely new life, which poses new challenges for our country. How we will cope with these tasks depends on the future of our country.
A Business Owner’s Guide to SEO Basics
What is SEO?SEO, or search engine optimization, is the term used to describe the process of driving a website to be more popular on search engines such as Google, Yahoo, etc. When people search phrases or words in a search engine (also known as keywords), the results and the order that they appear in is the direct effect of SEO.Do you need SEO?Generally most businesses would answer this question with a resounding yes, however how much you choose to invest into SEO is dependent upon how you want to do business. A lot of business that you generate most likely derives from word of mouth referrals, however, studies from Forrester Research shows that 93% of consumers worldwide use search engines to find and access websites.Consumers are significantly more likely to initiate contact and purchase a product or service from a business that they can find online. If your site can’t be easily located online, then your business is missing out on substantial prospective business.How does SEO work?There are a lot of factors concerning SEO. The keywords you choose and the popularity of the search for them and the competition that you have with those keywords are just the beginning. The titles, descriptions, url names, html framework/validity, tags and how they are used are also crucial factors. Backlinks to your site and popularity are also factors. There are hundreds factors and penalties that search engines use in order to deploy SEO. SEO could easily be likened to chemistry. Which brings me to my next point:Should you hire someone for SEO?Absolutely. It is possible for anyone to learn, but let’s be honest, you have a business to run. SEO takes a lot of time to learn, employ, and maintain. For most business owners to become expert SEO analysts is unreasonable, but you should be armed with the knowledge of what you need to be more successful from SEO, and what to expect from anyone you employ to do it.In order to have an effective SEO campaign, I would strongly urge anyone to employ an SEO professional. Fortunately, a lot of web design firms specialize in SEO, has someone on staff that does, or can refer you to someone. If your designer does not – there are plenty on the market.What should you watch for when shopping for an SEO specialist?Be extremely cautious of anyone who promises you the top spot on Google or immediate results. As good as that sounds, it really is too good to be true.Effective SEO is slow and steady which equates to months and months of work. It is important to note that the months and months of work are in bits and pieces and not 40-hour work weeks. There are no fast tracks to SEO success and make no mistake about it, search engines are not easily fooled. There are penalties for what has been coined as “Black Hat” SEO techniques. Here are just a few Black Hat SEO techniques:
Keyword stuffing (packing long lists of keywords on your site)
Invisible text (this is done by placing text in your html that does not show up on your website when viewed)
Doorway pages (pages that are added to your website, but never seen)
Tiny text or alt text (placing very small text on your page for spamming keywords)
Mirror sites (sites that is a duplicate of your site)
Submitting your site repeatedly to search engines (which is seen as spamming)Using any of the above tactics will not only get your site penalized in search rankings, it will more than likely get your site banned from search engines altogether.Back links (links on other websites that link to yours) are important to SEO, and getting bad ones or spam links, are not good for SEO. Beware of companies/individuals who use this technique as well. When consulting with an SEO professional, ask them to provide you with a “plan of action” or how they intend to help your SEO. If you see any of the above Black Hat techniques, keep shopping.Those techniques will work, for about 5 minutes until the search engines figure it out, and they usually do, and then it’s ban city. You’ll have to undo the Black Hat techniques, reformat, resubmit your site, and hopefully they will accept your site again. You are back to square one and have to now employ a legitimate SEO specialist.How long does SEO take?A long time. I like instant gratification as much as the next person, but SEO is where patience really pays off. Once your site is submitted to a search engine it usually can take 1-3 weeks to get indexed, but that’s not a promise. After that, it’s time to start tweaking the SEO process. Search engines do not update as much as we would like them to, popular keywords today may not be popular next week, if you rank high today – that spot isn’t guaranteed forever, or even for tomorrow for that matter, ranks fluctuate, and trends change.With that said, SEO is not a one time event, it is an ongoing process. There are likely thousands of websites who want your spot and if you give up on maintaining SEO efforts, you will lose it, usually pretty fast. A lot of SEO and/or web design companies have packages or hourly rates for SEO and you can choose how much you want to invest in any given month or timeframe.Now that you have a better understanding of what SEO is, how it works, and it’s importance to your business, you are well on your way to making smart business decisions concerning your website and it’s marketing.
Nearly 30 Ways to Save on Life Insurance
There are numerous articles helping with life insurance tips but mostly one can find just several pieces of advice there. Would it not be great to have all those saving tricks and tips at one place? We created such a list for life insurance! This list is the most comprehensive overview of all opportunities to save on Life Insurance in Canada and it was created after numerous discussions with many insurance brokers If you find this list useful, bookmark it and share with others! So, let’s start!1. Age: Apply for the policy when you are young and your premiums will be lower.2. Round-up your age wisely: If you decide to buy a life insurance policy, make sure that your age rounds down and not up, i.e. if you are going to be 30 years old on December 31, buy the policy in the first 6 months of the year where your age is still rounded down to 29 and not 30.3. Good health: If you are in a good health and have a good build (ratio of weight and height) when you apply for a life insurance policy, insurers will reward that with lower premiums.4. Non-smokers: Stop smoking well in advance (at least a year) before applying for a policy – otherwise your premiums will double.5. Good driving record: Ensure you have a good driving record before applying – a bad driving record is punished by life insurance provider (as by auto insurers) – your premiums will go up by extra 25-50%.6. Gender: Female policyholders pay on average 25% less than male policyholders. Changing your gender will not really help – insurers consider the gender you were born with.7. No depression: Mental health matters – those with a history of depressions pay between 50% and 200% more.8. Family history: Having a healthy family without any serious diseases lowers your life insurance premiums as you are less likely to face a critical illness. Known serious issues in your family’s medical history can increase the premiums by 50% to 250%.9. Your medical history: Having a healthy medical history in the past (not equal to the good current health state in the moment of application) has impact on your health insurance. If you’ve had serious issues, some potential disease cases can be excluded from your coverage.10. No excessive drinking: If you do not have any drinking issues, you can benefit from lower insurance rates – otherwise your premiums can increase by up to 50%. An intensive drinker would be considered somebody who drinks 3-4 beers a day.11. Term instead of other insurance types: Choose Term insurance products instead of e.g. Universal Life. The first one is a pure insurance product whereas the latter one represents a combination of life insurance and investment product and often costs more.12. Getting in shape: If you already have a life insurance policy and got in shape compared to your state when you signed up for a policy (e.g. spending hours in a gym), you can request a re-view of your life insurance premiums.13. Driving offenses coming off your record: If your driving record improved while you have a life insurance policy, you can review your premiums with your insurer and get them reduced (typical time for smaller offenses to come off your driving record is 3 years)14. Stop smoking: If you have a policy which you got when you were a smoker, stopping smoking and demonstrating to your insurer that you have not returned to it for at least 1 year will reduce your insurance premiums. Smokers typically pay double amount of premiums!15. Stop drinking: Similar story with drinking – demonstrate that you had 1 year of no drinking and it will be reflected in your adjusted premiums for an existing life insurance policy.16. Group Life insurance: Group Life Insurance can be an alternative to your Personal Life insurance if your employer offers sufficient coverage – at least you are protected as long as you work for the company.17. Employee / Union members: Some companies offer discounts to union members (e.g. IBM Canada or Research in Motion)18. Drop unnecessary additional coverages: Check additional riders offered with a life policy to decide if you need them e.g. Accident death benefit (higher payouts in case of death through an accident), term conversion rider (in case you want convert your Universal policy into Term)19. Avoid guaranteed issue life policy: People with good health do not need a guaranteed issue life insurance policy (these are policies that do not require a medical exam but they cost more) – do a health check / exam and enjoy lower life insurance premiums.20. Professional Membership: Are you a member of a professional organization (e.g. Certified Management Accountants of Canada or The Air Canada Pilots Association)? Then some insurance companies offer you a discount.21. One policy for your spouse and you: You can get one policy for both your spouse and you – it will be often cheaper than two single life insurance policies (also called a multi-life policy)22. Adjust coverage amount: Make sure that you are not taking more insurance coverage (but also not less) than needed: perhaps $1,000,000 is enough – ask yourself and your insurance advisor if you really need $2,000,000?23. Less-risky jobs: Not being involved into dangerous jobs like a member of the police bomb squad will help to avoid additional insurance premiums.24.Shop around: Search, Compare, and switch insurance companies. There are many insurance providers and their price offerings for the same policies can be very different, therefore use multiple online tools and talk to several brokers since each will cover a limited number of insurance companies.25. Alumni: Graduates from certain Canadian universities ( e.g University of Toronto, McGill University) might be eligible for a discount at certain Insurance providers.26. Annual vs. monthly payments: In comparison to monthly payments, annual payments save insurers administrative costs (e.g. sending bills) and therefore they reward you lower premiums.27. Welcome discount: Some insurers offer a so called welcome discount!
